What you need to know
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
You will visit our Partner Brokers and Key Customers in order to represent AIG in the broadest sense with emphasis on joined appetite and opportunities. Important part of your role is to add value to these relationships to distinguish AIG from the other insurers
To ensure retention of existing business and identify and deliver a constant stream of targeted new business opportunities across the range of AIG products, by developing and maintaining relationships with clients and by securing strong relationships with key business influencers within the brokers.
Deliver annual new business production and cross selling from existing clients/brokers in line with set objectives;
Ensure retention of all existing business within assigned portfolio in line with Profit Centre renewal strategies;
Develop and maintain an understanding and working relationship with each client/broker within the assigned portfolio;
Facilitate AIG Corporate relationships at all levels with clients and brokers;
Identify and maintain regular contact with key business influencers at major brokers;
Provide focal point for clients/brokers;
Identify new and cross sell business opportunities from designated portfolio of clients and brokers and co-ordinate sales process;
Provide framework and guidance for effective service delivery on assigned portfolio;
Maintain AIG’s Salesforce database;
Roll out the distribution strategy and focus on priorities like ‘thought leadership’ and superior account relationship management.
Build, maintain and expand existing and new commercial relationships with Partner Brokers and Key Customers.
Look together with the brokers to expand the portfolios.
Monitor our retention strategy and development with our brokers and clients.
Focus on involving all stakeholders within AIG, strive for alignment.
Monitor the insurance market, retrieve opportunities and translate these opportunities into AIG appetite.
You will report to both the Country manager and the Cluster Head of Distribution and will be part of the local executive committee.
You will directly manage a team of 4 people (Brokers and Clients relationships managers) and will have strong interactions with our Marketing and Communication department.
What we’re looking for:
A professional with at least 10 years of relevant experience ideally in the insurance or banking industry with a demonstrated experience in managing a commercial team.
Experience of corporate insurance programmes both local and multinational, particularly across main Commercial Lines products.
Strong track record of market facing success
Clear understanding of technical processes behind policy issuance
Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven interpersonal skills
Proficiency in French, Dutch and English
An experience in a multinational organization with matrix structure is a plus.
