As the Head of Diagnostics Communications, APAC, you are the primary architect of our regional reputation. You are accountable for divisional, external, and internal communications that engage and inspire stakeholders to drive healthcare-related dialogue. You work as a strategic business partner to the Head of APAC Diagnostics, providing expert counsel on leadership communication, as well as internal and external engagement. By aligning with regional Networks and Chapters, you translate complex business strategies into compelling messaging that influences stakeholders and strengthens our access narrative. You push the boundaries of traditional communication to enhance and protect the Roche brand across a diverse and dynamic region.
Your Opportunity
Strategic Communication & Planning: You drive business results by delivering integrated communication strategies aligned to regional priorities. You lead communication planning and measurement, utilizing insights and metrics to demonstrate the impact of your approach on global business goals.
Trusted Advisory: You act as a senior counselor to the Head of APAC and the APAC Enabling Team. You leverage a deep understanding of the healthcare environment to provide guidance on industry forums, internal and external engagements, and high-stakes reputation management.
Reputation & Issue Management: You are responsible for providing active coaching to affiliate communicators on reputation, issues, and crisis management. You drive skills development across the organization to proactively mitigate risks and protect our license to operate.
Collaborative Leadership: You are an active member of the Diagnostics Communications Leadership Team, contributing to strategy development for the wider global community. You role-model collaborative ways of working between Group, Diagnostics, and Affiliate teams in a networked, matrix environment.
Operational Excellence: You permanently optimize processes to increase quality and efficiency standards. You demonstrate a proven ability to prioritize multiple projects and simplify work under pressure within a fast-paced VUCA environment.
Change Agency: You build a motivated and empowered team that challenges the status quo. You act as a sparring partner to business leaders, fostering VACC leadership and a culture that radically simplifies how we communicate.
Who You Are
Experienced Strategist: You have multiple years of senior leadership experience in corporate communications, preferably within the healthcare or life sciences sector.
System Thinker: You possess a demonstrated enterprise mindset and the ability to connect the dots across multiple global teams and leadership areas.
Relationship Architect: You have an outstanding track record of building sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including media, government, and industry bodies.
Agile Leader: You are a practitioner of VACC leadership principles, with a proven ability to influence business outcomes and lead teams through organizational change.
Communication Expert: You possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to translate technical healthcare topics into narratives that resonate with the public and customers alike.
