This leader will translate the data frameworks defined by the Data Strategy and Governance team into tangible, company-wide practices. Serving as a data evangelist and ambassador, the role is accountable for accelerating the understanding and adoption of core data concepts, such as data mesh and data products, and ensuring responsible data consumption and availability across all functions in close partnership with the data domains.

This leader has strong influencing and partnering skills to drive adoption in a federated organization through functional aligned data domain teams. Data domains are responsible for the data and data culture in the various domains while leadership and orchestration across the domains for adoption and culture is provided by this role.

This leader and their team will help flatten the learning curve for complex data topics, acting as key translators to make information accessible and digestible for stakeholders at every level, from senior leadership to technical contributors. The role requires a strong focus on organizational change management and a "train the trainer" approach, empowering data champions across the business to multiply the team's impact and foster a sustainable data-driven culture. This position reports directly to the Chief Data Officer.

  • Data Literacy & Evangelism: Act as a passionate advocate for data, building and leading a team of evangelists to educate and inspire employees across the organization on the value of data as a strategic asset.

  • Translating Data Concepts: Simplify complex data topics (e.g., data mesh, data products) and communicate them in a clear, compelling manner to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from the C-suite to individual contributors, to understand their data needs and drive alignment on data adoption goals.

  • Training & Enablement: Develop and implement scalable training programs and a "train the trainer" model to build a network of internal data champions who can sustain the data culture independently.

  • Performance Measurement: Define and track key metrics for data adoption, cultural maturity and value generation, providing regular updates and insights to the Data and the RDT leadership teams on progress and areas for improvement.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data evangelists, fostering an environment of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.

Key Leadership Competencies and Skills:

  • A university degree (Bachelor’s degree) preferably in a digital technology related field. 10+ years of direct related experience with 5+ years of experience managing teams.

  • Proven ability to define and execute a long-term vision for data culture and adoption that aligns with organizational goals.

  • Deep expertise in leading large-scale cultural and technological transformations in a complex, global matrix organization.

  • A strong understanding of modern data concepts and architectures, including data products, data mesh, and data governance.

  • Exceptional ability to communicate, present, influence and partner with stakeholders at all levels, translating technical concepts into business value.

  • Experience building, leading, and motivating a highly skilled team, with a focus on coaching and talent development.

  • A proactive, energetic, and highly motivated approach to influencing and inspiring others, with a passion for teaching and empowering people.
