Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership of Customer Proposition
- Define and lead customer proposition strategy for all channels (B2B, B2B2C, B2C), ensuring alignment with company vision and distribution goals.
- Champion innovation in proposition design, leveraging market insights, customer analytics, and competitive intelligence.
- Drive “Channel Specific vs Channel Agnostic” design principles to guide proposition ideation and journey design.
Proposition Development & Go-to-Market Execution
- Lead the design and development of customer propositions across segments (HNW, Affluent, Mass), ensuring alignment with product, channel, and brand strategy.
- Translate customer insights, persona data, and analytics into differentiated value propositions that support customer acquisition, repurchase, and retention.
- Partner closely with Product, Distribution, Innovation, and Actuarial teams to ensure feasibility, competitiveness, and commercial impact.
- Lead marketing activation of propositions, go-to-market planning, and execution in collaboration with channels.
Value-Added Services (VAS) Leadership
- Strategically enhance PCA’s VAS ecosystem to support customer engagement, wellbeing, loyalty, and long-term retention.
- Evaluate new VAS opportunities (health care, lifestyle, advisory/professional services, etc.) and drive commercial and customer-impact assessments.
- Oversee governance, operation, performance measurement, and cross-functional delivery of VAS initiatives.
Customer Segmentation & Insights
- Lead data-driven segmentation strategy, refine personas, and ensure insights are embedded in proposition, content, and marketing planning.
- Partner with Analytics and Distribution to turn insights into actionable plans and measurable business outcomes.
Distribution Business Partnership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, ideation sessions, and proposition design sprints.
- Act as the business lead from Customer & Marketing to support intermediary (B2B2C) channels and direct (B2C) priorities.
- Ensure seamless integration of customer propositions across bank, broker, and direct channels.
- Provide leadership to a small, high-performing team; coach and develop team members.
Performance Management & Governance
- Establish commercial KPIs for propositions and VAS (e.g., direct & indirect APE generated / total cost) to deliver commercialization of customer proposition activities.
- Ensure proposition governance, documentation, and approval processes align with group standards and regulatory expectations.
- Use data-driven insights to measure effectiveness, identify opportunities, and drive continuous improvement.
Continuous Improvement & Market Monitoring
- Stay abreast of market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging customer needs.
- Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and customer-centricity within the team.
Requirements
- 12+ years’ experience in insurance, banking, consulting, or related strategic leadership roles.
- Proven track record in cross-channel (B2B, B2B2C, B2C) proposition strategy and commercialization.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience driving measurable business outcomes.
- Deep skills in proposition development, customer insights, segmentation, financial services product/service design or VAS.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across product, actuarial, channel, digital, and compliance teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong storytelling and stakeholder management.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in matrixed organizations.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English.
