  • Pernod Ricard UK, which markets, sells and distributes our products in the UK
  • Chivas Brothers, the largest brand company in the Group, responsible for the production and management of our award-winning Scotch whisky portfolio
  • Pernod Ricard Global Travel Retail, the global and EMEA home of the group’s duty free, air travel and cruises business.
  • The Absolut Group, the brand owner of our global white spirits portfolio, whose Gin brand unit and Business Acceleration team sit in London.

We are an organisation of 2,000 employees in the UK, headquartered in London, in a brand-new office designed with sustainability, ‘conviviality’ and collaboration in mind. We also have offices in Scotland and various distilleries and production sites across the UK from Plymouth to London to Speyside.

Your new team

This position sits in our Pernod Ricard UK (PRUK) business. Our diverse population of 300+ passionate employees have been creating conviviality since 2001, bringing our premium brands and unforgettable experiences to the UK. As the world’s 2nd largest spirits market, the UK is a key location for our company.

Within this team:

  • You will manage the NEE Comms and S&R team.
  • You will have three direct reports in the UK and dotted line reports across the NEE Comms and S&R team.
  • You will be a member of the PRNEE and PRUK Leadership Teams.
  • You will attend NEE and UK CODI meetings as required. 

Your unique contribution

This role has three main areas of responsibility:

1. Driving employee engagement at local affiliate level (UK) and NEE (&LU). Specifically:

  • Drive engagement across NEE (own strategy and delivery of the NEE Leadership Community) and locally (drive UK leadership team agenda and engagement and ensure same across all NEE markets)
  • Mobilise and engage employees behind local market strategies to drive topline.
  • MD visibility and regular all employee communication in all markets
  • Maintain precise and authentic comms strategies for all FFF reorgs
  • Collaborate with Gold BU and GTR for delivery of cross UK affiliate internal communication and events.
  • Own all UK specific internal comms strategy and channels: weekly MD updates/bi-monthly UK Townhalls, annual PRUK Conference, internal communication from UK/all UK affiliates, UK MyPortal).

2. Delivery of the Group S&R strategy, mainly Responsible Hosting for all NEE markets with a fully mutualised NEE approach.  Specifically:

  • Drink More Water ​across all NEE markets internally and externally. 
  • Delivery of new Responsible Drinking Strategy​ across all NEE markets internally and externally with selected markets.
  • Responsible drinking training to all NEE markets and specifically sales teams
  • ​S&R Reporting and Engagement: Regular all-employee updates on global/local S&R across NEE and own CSRD reporting for NEE
  • Phase II of PRUK Carbon Reduction Roadmap: annual reduction on directly controlled carbon emissions vs. FY23 baseline

3. Building a strong corporate brand and reputation for Pernod Ricard across NEE markets

  • Own crisis management plan, training and response for the UK and ensure network across NEE, in close collaboration with HQ
  • Media and message training for all UK/NEE spokespeople
  • Support HQ with delivery IARD/industry strategy to combat fake news, in close collaboration with PA teams
  • Focus on external opportunities for NEE CEO and PRD MD (e.g. media interviews / panels / speaking ops) messaging on group framework: business transformation/people & culture / S&R.
  • Classic markets: set and drive ext comms strategy
  • All MDs: LinkedIn strategy updated guidance and calendar. 
  • Manage proactive momentum for the PRUK/PRNEE press office with strong UK media relations in collaboration with Gold and HQ.
  • Strong collaboration with the UK Marketing team for brand comms, ensuring continual creative amplification and buzz of UK brand news, in collaboration with Gold, Crystal.
