The Opportunity 

The Pay-in Credit Risk & Collections (CRC) team department is a core pillar of the Finance organization, responsible for managing the complete revenue cycle — from order creation to final cash realization. The team ensures that every sale is accurately billed, collected, and accounted for, supporting the company’s liquidity, profitability, and customer experience objectives. 

The team oversees end-to-end processes including billing & invoicing, payment mapping, credit management, collections, cash application, and account reconciliations. The department plays a critical role in maintaining financial discipline, optimizing working capital, and driving continuous improvement across systems and processes. 

This team is expanding, and we are looking for the Head of Collections (Global Function) who will lead the end-to-end collections strategy and operations across multiple geographies based out of Bangkok, Thailand. The role oversees diverse collections processes spanning multiple product and process verticals, manage process optimizations, collections systems etc. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in global credit & collections, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to scale processes, systems, and teams in a dynamic, fast-moving environment. 

In this Role, the Key Responsibilities will Include: 
Strategy & Leadership 

  • Define the collections strategy across all receivable collection flows  
  • Own the cash-collection targets, DSO, write-off KPIs, and aging metrics. 
  • Develop a scalable operating model with in-house collections & external DCAs. 
  • Partner with senior finance and commercial leaders to align collections policies in line with business growth and risk appetite. 

Operational Excellence 

  • Drive a digital, data-led collections approach ensuring all decisions and workflows are grounded in analytics and segmentation. 
  • Standardize and optimize collections workflows across regions, products, and systems. 
  • Establish proactive monitoring, automated dunning, and dispute-resolution processes. 
  • Drive process consistency and SLA adherence with outsourcing partners i.e. DCAs 

Systems & Technology Enablement 

  • Lead the roadmap for collections technology: CRM/Collections system, workflow engine, automation tools, and data platforms. 
  • Implement segmentation strategies, automated workflows, and predictive models in collaboration with Data, and Fintech teams. 
  • Implement dashboards, real-time exposure tracking, and performance analytics for proactive collections. 
  • Champion digital capabilities such as auto‐reminders, AI-based scoring, and robotic process automation (RPA). 

Stakeholder Management 

  • Act as the senior interface with regional commercial leaders, finance controllers, accounting, treasury, and customer operations. 
  • Collaborate with product, payments, and legal teams to manage contract terms, collections clauses, settlement models, and recovery actions. 
  • Represent collections in governance forums as needed. 

People & Culture 

  • Build, mentor, & develop a diverse global team of collections managers, analysts, and specialists. 
  • Foster a high-accountability, customer-centric, data-driven culture. 
  • Ensure knowledge sharing, consistent training, and unified global standards. 

What You’ll Need to Succeed:  

  • 15+ years of experience in Collections in a global business; at least 5 years in a leadership role. 
  • Strong understanding of OTA or marketplace business models, including agency/merchant/prepaid flows. 
  • Proven track record of improving DSO, reducing aging, and strengthening cashflow predictability in high-transaction-volume environments. 
  • Experience managing multi-regional teams and BPO partners. 
  • Solid understanding of accounting, billing systems, payment reconciliation, and risk frameworks. 
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills. 

It’s Great if You Have: 

  • Experience in travel, fintech, e-commerce, logistics, or other high-velocity receivables industries. 
  • Hands-on experience with CRM/collections platforms (e.g., High-Radius, Collection Hub, D365, Salesforce), billing engines, and data-visualization tools. 
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments.
