Job Summary:

Client Strategy, Analytics & Business Execution is a key strategic leadership position within the GIS group. The role is responsible for driving data-led business insights, client strategy development, and cross-business execution to enhance client growth, operational efficiency, and financial performance across global markets.

This role will partner closely with senior management and global stakeholders to strengthen client engagement, improve decision-making through analytics, and implement firmwide strategic priorities in alignment with the bank’s long-term growth objectives and risk appetite.

Major Responsibilities:

This role reports to the Head of GIS and collaborates with senior GCIB management and global stakeholders to drive consistent client analytics and MIS reporting for senior management and revenue-generating teams across GCIB. Key responsibilities include:

  • Set and execute the global client data and analytics strategy for GCIB, aligning with senior business leaders and executive priorities.

  • Collaborating with GCIB peers across regions to establish best practices to identify and execute on revenue growth opportunities through advanced client analytics and segmentation.

  • Ensure business execution aligns with global standards for governance, compliance, and risk management.

  • Partner with GIS development and data teams to enhance analytics capabilities and workflow automation.

  • Build and nurture high-performing global teams, developing talent and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • Managing a global team of 3-5 direct reports across the New York office and MGS India, fostering alignment and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Analytics

  • Lead the design and implementation of strategic and analytical frameworks that support GCIB growth, client segmentation, and capital allocation.

  • Develop and deliver data-driven insights to identify revenue opportunities, enhance client targeting, and optimize portfolio performance across regions and sectors.

  • Partner with Finance, Product, and Coverage teams to support business planning, forecasting, and P&L management.

  • Oversee development of performance dashboards and analytical tools that improve transparency, consistency, and strategic decision-making across business lines.

Client Strategy & Lifecycle Optimization

  • Drive data-based initiatives to strengthen client relationships, deepen wallet share, and enhance cross-sell effectiveness across CIB products.

  • Support the design of client coverage and relationship management models to align with strategic priorities and regulatory frameworks.

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic direction to a GIS global analytics and business support team.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior executives, delivering strategic insights and recommendations through executive-level presentations and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12-15 years of experience working with Financial Services & Banking organizations

  • MBA degree in Finance

  • Strong background in business strategy, financial analytics, and client relationship management.

  • Proven track record of driving measurable growth and process improvement through data and insight.

  • Deep understanding of CIB products, markets, and client coverage frameworks.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; experience engaging with senior leadership and cross-cultural teams.

  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SQL, or equivalent) and financial modeling.

Other Qualifications: 

  • As per MUFG’s Return to Office policy, a candidate must work onsite for 4 days and 1 day remotely out of the New York, NY office

  • The typical base pay range for this role is between $173K - $206K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
