About the position

Altruist is entering an exciting phase, and we're looking for a Head of Clearing Operations to join our Operations department!

What you’ll do

  • Lead Altruist’s self-clearing operations teams, including New Accounts, Account Transfers, Treasury, Tax, Corporate Actions, Margin, Options, and all other operational functions in a timely and compliant manner
  • Establish the foundation for scalable processes and tools without relying on continual manual intervention 
  • Manage critical vendor and partner relationships 
  • Partner with Finance to ensure investments are delivering maximum ROI in clearing operations 
  • Partner with Product to ensure we continually strive for customer delight and a reduction in any need to contact support/operations 
  • Accountable for the delivery of OKRs related to operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Support compliance and Altruist’s FINOP to ensure timely filing of regulatory reporting and reconciliation of breaks 
  • Scale Altruist’s clearing operations department in support of Altruist’s growth strategy
  • Contribute to examinations with regulatory bodies
  • Provide exceptional service to Altruist’s customers and their clients

What you’ll bring

  • 10+ years of hands-on operations experience at a self-clearing broker-dealer 
  • Proficient in FINRA, DTCC, NSCC, OCC, and SEC rules
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and a deep empathy for our customers
  • Expertise with financial products
  • Knowledge of securities trading processes and applicable regulations is a must
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technology to enhance business processes
  • Proficiency with FIS Phase 3 preferred
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to interact persuasively with marketing, customer success, operations, product, design, and engineering teams
  • Affinity for a fast-paced, early-stage environment
  • FINRA Series 4, 7, 63 (others may be needed over time, including 27)

Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package, along with equity in the form of Stock Options (ISOs) for eligible roles.
