The Global Investment Centre is at the heart of our retail growth strategy, with over €250bn in investment balances and an ambitious target to double our fee income within five years.
The Head of Change & Execution (Change Expert VIII) reports to the Head of the Global Investment Centre and is based in Amsterdam. This is a unique opportunity to shape ING’s global investment strategy. You’ll be part of a dynamic and forward‑thinking environment, helping to shape the future of investment services and enabling leadership to deliver on strategic ambitions.
Roles and responsibilities
- Translate the investment strategy and the Global Investment Centre's ambition into a multi‑year change roadmap
- Drive the delivery of the change roadmap across all retail ING markets (platforms, products, processes, governance)
- Enhance stakeholder engagement: act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication, aligned priorities, and seamless cross‑functional and cross‑geographical collaboration
- Ensure robust governance, clear mandates, and design scalable processes that connect content ownership with operational execution
- Design structured integration of newly acquired investment capabilities
- Enable new initiatives by defining and overseeing the end‑to‑end strategic path to execution, including a clear division of responsibilities
- Lead organisational design initiatives to build a high‑performing, cross‑functional team and meet ambitious 2029 retail growth targets
- Unlock scalable capabilities by driving harmonisation of investment products to increase efficiency and minimise country‑specific customisation
Required skills and experience
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Proven international work experience
- Extensive experience in consulting is a strong plus
- 10+ years of experience in delivering and leading large-scale transformations, PMI, and multi‑country programs within asset management, wealth management, or investment products
- Extensive experience (3+ years) with senior stakeholder management
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work across diverse markets, and thrive in a dynamic, fast‑paced global environment
- Strong knowledge of investment products and propositions
- Passion and ambition to reinvent investments from head to heart, creating solutions that combine optimised and scalable performance with emotional customer engagement
