Currently we are looking for exceptional Head of Center of Excellence to join our team in Lodz, Poland.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Head of Center of Excellence, based in Łódź, Poland (the company’s global Finance Operations function >100 employees) is a dual role, ensuring efficient, scalable, and high-quality finance processes - including payables, receivables, general ledger, cash management and financial reporting – while serving as a global process owner to drive end-to-end efficiency and integration. By aligning operational goals with business strategy, implementing scalable systems, and building a high-performing team, the Head of Center of Excellence delivers both cost-effective support and value-added insights that enhance business performance through the shared service model.

Core responsibilities:

  • Lead Finance Operations: Oversee the Finance Operations function, to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of key processes including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash management, and financial reporting.

  • Drive Strategy and Performance: Set the direction for the Center of Excellence aligning its operations with global finance objectives while continuously improving service quality, cost-efficiency, value add and scalability.

  • Build and Develop High-Performing Teams: Hire, coach, mentor, and retain top finance talent. Foster a high-accountability culture by promoting top performers and addressing underperformance.

  • Implement Scalable Systems and Automation: Lead financial systems implementation and automation initiatives that deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient processes. 

  • Model Finance Leadership. Act as a key finance leader and role model, fostering a high-performance culture within the team in Poland, with a focus on development, engagement, and delivering value-added contributions to the wider organization.

  • Ensure Compliance and Internal Controls: Embed strong control frameworks in all finance operations processes, mitigating risk and supporting regulatory and audit requirements.

  • Use Data to Drive Performance: Monitor and report on operational KPIs and performance metrics, to improve process effectiveness, support decision-making, and ensure accountability across teams.

  • Collaborate Across Functions: Partner with business units, corporate finance, and IT, to ensure financial operations are integrated with enterprise-wide processes and strategic initiatives.

  • Champion Operational Excellence and Innovation: Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and proactive problem-solving within the Poland team and the broader finance team.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in a managerial role in the areas of ​​Finance/Accounting (required)

  • 8+ years of experience in finance transformation and comprehensive knowledge of end-to-end finance processes (required)

  • Experience managing and developing global or cross-functional teams (preferred)

  • Experience leading the design, ownership, and continuous improvement of processes (preferred)

  • Understanding of core finance concepts including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, and cost control

  • Knowledge of GBS/SSC/BPO operating models

  • Familiarity with enterprise systems (e.g., ERP platforms) and how finance processes connect across functions

  • Knowledge of compliance and risk management practices

  • Awareness of organizational design and workforce planning principles

  • Understanding of workforce upskilling needs, especially in automation and analytics

  • Understanding of financial performance metrics and operational KPIs
