The objective is to bridge Flagship’s innovative ecosystem with the APAC biotech, pharmaceutical and biomedical ecosystem to fostering strategic partnerships in one of the world’s critical healthcare markets
Role Summary: Reporting to both the leadership of FSP Asia-Pacific and FSP Capital Solutions (US) , the successful candidate will play a critical role in helping the development of long-term relationships of potential investors based in APAC in FSP companies and FSP Funds as well as driving financing activities, facilitating both direct investments into FSP companies and Limited Partner (LP) investments into Flagship's global funds. In alignment and partnership with FSP APAC and FSP Capital Solutions, this individual will drive FSP’s engagement with institutional investors throughout the APAC region including sovereign wealth funds, family offices, venture capital firms, and other strategic partners. This role will be based out of one of FSP’s Asia-Pacific offices in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Investor relations and fundraising
· Work with leadership of FSP APAC and FSP Capital Solutions to nurture existing and burgeoning relationships with the institutional investor community in APAC
· Help identify and drive investment opportunities into Flagship’s Global Funds and direct investments in Flagship portfolio companies, with a focus on investors from APAC, including sovereign wealth funds, family offices, venture capital firms, and other potential strategic investors
· Help facilitate dialogue with the institutional investor community in APAC and connect any such investors with the relevant members of the FSP team to bridge investor interest with FSP offerings
· Regularly align priorities and report progress to FSP’s Capital Formation and APAC team to ensure full alignment and effective follow-up on leads
2. Strategy and outreach
· Partner with the rest of the FSP APAC team in Singapore, Japan and Korea to help implement strategic plans to enhance Flagship’s presence and capital raising capabilities within the APAC region.
· Plan and drive APAC investor-related reach and relevance in the region – e.g., organize and host regular investor events and briefings, presentations, and other engagement activities to promote Flagship's value proposition.
· Where relevant, support key workstreams on select strategic initiatives (e.g., partnerships) across the APAC region with the rest of the FSP APAC team.
Qualifications:
· A minimum of 15 years in capital formation, investment banking, private equity, or related fields, with a strong track record in fundraising and investment management in Asia-Pacific.
· Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with institutional investors, particularly within the APAC region.
· Deep understanding of the investment landscape in APAC, including familiarity with key players such as sovereign wealth funds and family offices.
· Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Discipline in execution and follow up with multiple “balls in the air”.
· Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with a collaborative work style.
