Brief Description
The Head of Business Operations (HOBO) is responsible for driving business growth, strategic and operational excellence by managing strategic alliances, overseeing new product launches, optimizing distribution, leading shared services, and serving as Chief of Staff of Managing Director and Project Management office (PMO) lead for critical transformation projects. This role partners closely with senior leadership to ensure strategic alignment, execution of key initiatives, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities & Resource Weightage
1. Chief of Staff (40%)
Serve as a trusted partner to the Managing Director and leadership team, facilitating strategic planning and execution.
Coordinate leadership priorities, optimize meetings, and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Prepare leadership for internal and external engagements, follow up on agreed actions, and escalate issues as needed.
Drive organizational transformation, model new ways of working, and facilitate workshops for process improvement.
Represent the MD in working groups and task forces, and develop content for key engagements.
2. Project Management Office (10%)
Lead and oversee strategic projects, ensuring timely execution and measurable returns.
Develop performance reports, facilitate cross-functional reviews, and manage key initiatives.
Partner with regional/global colleagues on projects and drive continuous improvement in project management practices.
3. New Product Launch Management (10%)
Lead cross-functional teams to plan, coordinate, and monitor new product launches, ensuring alignment with global, regional, and commercial stakeholders.
Develop and execute launch strategies, prepare organization for market readiness, and track KPIs for post-launch analysis.
Foster communication and collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
4. Distribution (10%)
Oversee Operational pricing activities done by Business Operations Senior Specialist: Manage Discount Price List (DPL) for all business units and oversee iDiscount processes.
Issue resolution: Alignment with Supply Chain Management to address and resolve issues in sales and distribution tracking
KPI review: Monitor, review, and rate key performance indicators for distribution activities.
Communication to Distribution: Lead all communications to Distribution regarding pricing, partnership matters, and management reviews.
5. Alliance Management (5%)
Develop and maintain strategic partnerships, source new business opportunities and grow a high-quality revenue pipeline.
Execute engagement and marketing plans with partners, building multi-level relationships including executive stakeholders.
Coordinate cross-functional activities and ensure adherence to contract terms and service-level agreements.
Maintain marketing strategy for unpromoted products.
6. Shared Services (5%)
Lead and manage the administrative shared services team to deliver high-quality support across business units.
Manage relationship and KPIs with BSC Kuala Lumpur Meeting Services, and be the connector between BSC and Local Market teams to ensure model operates effectively and efficiently.
Implement standardized processes and policies for efficiency and compliance.
7. Talent Growth and Coaching & Development (20%)
Develop and implement individual development plans for direct reports, ensuring alignment with enterprise leadership skills and career aspirations.
Provide regular coaching and feedback to build team’s capabilities and cross-functional collaboration, fostering a high-performance culture.
Act as a role model and mentor within the Commercial Operations Team, promoting our company’s values and leadership behaviors through visible actions and decision-making.
Champion talent growth initiatives by identifying high-potential team members within Commercial Operations Team, facilitating learning opportunities, and driving succession planning to strengthen organizational bench strength.

Qualifications, Skills, & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, pharmacy, or related field; Master’s preferred.
7+ years’ experience in alliance management, business development, strategy consulting, project management, or similar roles.
Experience in Tier-1 consulting firms or corporate strategy is a plus.
Proven ability to negotiate and manage complex partnerships and projects.
Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and networking skills.
Strong strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and initiative, especially under pressure.
Solid project management skills, attention to detail, analytical capability, and P&L understanding.
Ability to work effectively across boundaries and influence key stakeholders.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
