Job Description

The Head of Business Operations for our emerging Direct Sales Channel will be instrumental in shaping Elavon’s next era of direct merchant acquisition, advancing growth, elevating performance, and strengthening operational discipline across the organization. Reporting directly to the Head of Direct Sales, this leader will support the execution of strategic initiatives that reinforce channel priorities and drive organizational effectiveness. In this role, you’ll help steer the channel’s strategic direction, champion cross‑functional alignment, and ensure the systems and processes behind our growth remain strong and scalable. Ultimately, this position is essential to accelerating revenue, enhancing performance, and enabling operational excellence in a fast‑moving, highly competitive environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically, eight or more years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrates solid leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and influence outcomes
  • Strong organization skills; able to manage multiple high priority projects, initiatives, and deadlines concurrently
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Strong data and analytics skills to inform strategic decisions and provide actionable, data-driven feedback
  • Demonstrated success in developing and launching go-to-market strategies
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as a strong team player across all levels of the business
  • Strong technical skills in excel and other Microsoft office suite of applications
  • High ethical standards and sound judgment

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Alignment & Collaboration

  • Work with Sales Leadership to develop and execute strategic plans that align with the overall Partner Revenue objectives.
  • Forge strong cross-functional partnerships to champion Direct Sales priorities to accelerate channel growth.
  • Collaborate on development, commercialization, go-to-market strategies, adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives to unlock new revenue opportunities.

Project Management

  • Define Go to Market Projects with objectives, deliverables and intended outcomes for revenue growth.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery timelines are aligned with revenue expectations.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and recommend improvements.

Performance Management & Optimization

  • Track and analyze strategic initiatives, analyze results and trends to identify best practices and areas for improvement.
  • Optimize Direct Sales path to plan strategies using data to develop performance tracking systems, establish targets and forecasts, and allocation of resources for maximum impact.
  • Drive continuous improvement and strategic planning by implementing feedback mechanisms, leverage market insights, and develop business cases for new processes, products, and services to support strategic decision-making and enhance sales and partner enablement.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $148,495.00 - $174,700.00
