We are looking for a Head of Bids and Product Manager to join our Christchurch team!
Reporting to the Director of Customer Facing, the Head of Bids & Product Management is responsible for leading day-to-day lifecycle management of products/product lines. This role not only considers the definition and introduction of new products to meet customer expectations, but also ensures continued product through life availability culminating with management of product end-of-life process. In conjunction with this, the Head of Bids & Product management will also support the business growth objectives ensuring the on-time release of quality bids/proposals that meet business objectives.
The key output of this role will be to support future growth, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives, thus contributing to the long-term success of the business.

Your Challenge:
Owns the product portfolio management for high-value products and product lines, ensuring consistent market competitiveness and profitability.
Influences and shapes the product development lifecycle, from concept to end-of-life, ensuring that innovation, customer demands, and strategic priorities are met.
Ensures quality bids & proposals are released on time to support customer and business expectation
Maintains market position of products by managing existing product lines and gaining competitive market information.
Provides competitive analysis to lead product direction and identify growth opportunities.
Fosters and manages relationships with key accounts to ensure product alignment with customer requirements and strategic business goals.
Leads and mentors product management teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and high performance.
Collaborates closely with senior leadership, including engineering, manufacturing, business development, finance and operations to ensure product execution is on track and aligned with corporate objectives.
Contributes to development goals, budget and strategic business plans for each product lines. Recommends ways to expand sales and profitability in specific markets. Ensures sales and marketing staff are provided with comparative product analysis; feature and benefit summaries; supporting promotional material; target customers; and product marketing strategies.
Champions a culture of continuous improvement within the product and bids management teams
What You Bring:
Proven experience in managing large product portfolios with a strong track record of strategic decision-making and on-time execution.
Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels across the organization.
Strong business acumen, with the ability to lead financial forecasting, P&L management, and resource allocation.
Exceptional leadership skills, with experience mentoring and leading high-performing teams across multiple functions.
Excellent communication skills, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
