Position summary:

You will lead engineering excellence and reliability activities across our Belgium sites. You will build and scale maintenance and asset management practices. You will work with site leaders, engineering teams, and global peers to improve safety, uptime and operational performance. Key responsibilities:

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Lead the development and implementation of maintenance and asset management strategy across Belgium sites
  • Drive reliability programs to reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment availability
  • Provide technical leadership and level 3 support for mechanical, electrical, automation and process safety matters
  • Define standards, guidelines and KPIs for engineering, maintenance and life-cycle planning
  • Lead cross-site engineering projects from concept through handover for major CAPEX and recapitalization work
  • Build capability through coaching, communities of practice and skills development for engineering and maintenance teams

Basic Qualifications:

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • Degree in engineering or equivalent technical qualification
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, maintenance or reliability roles in a GMP regulated manufacturing environment
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role with direct and matrix responsibilities
  • Strong experience with maintenance strategy, preventive and predictive maintenance, and asset life-cycle planning
  • Fluent English. Proficiency in Dutch or French is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Advanced technical qualification or professional certification in reliability engineering, asset management or maintenance
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data analytics for reliability
  • Practical knowledge of process safety, electrical safety and mechanical integrity in a GMP context
  • Experience building communities of practice and scaling best practices across multiple sites
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and proven experience delivering cross-functional change
