POSITION SUMMARY 

The Head of Audit - Asia is responsible for overseeing risk-based audit planning and execution for a defined segment of the organization. This role provides strategic direction, supervises engagement managers, and ensures high-quality assurance and advisory services. The Head leverages advanced and expert-level competencies in audit methodologies, governance, risk management, and operational areas to deliver insights that strengthen organizational resilience, compliance, and performance.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 

  • Audit Planning & Execution

Develop and oversee risk-based audit plans aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. Supervise engagement managers and ensure audit methodologies incorporate advanced analytics and leading practices. Lead integrated assurance initiatives across governance, risk, and compliance functions. 

  • Documentation and Reporting

Review and approve audit reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and actionable recommendations. Communicate significant findings and strategic insights to senior management and the audit committee. 

  • Data Management and Analysis

Champion the use of advanced data analytics and continuous monitoring in audit processes. Ensure data integrity and leverage predictive modeling for risk identification and fraud detection.

  • Compliance and Ethics

Uphold IPPF standards and ethical principles in all audit activities. Advise senior leadership on compliance risks and emerging regulatory trends.

  • Business Awareness and Engagement:

Build strong relationships with stakeholders to align audit priorities with business strategies. Provide thought leadership on governance, risk management, and operational improvements.

  • Support and Coordination:

Mentor audit leaders and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Coordinate resources and methodologies to optimize audit coverage and efficiency.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (CIA, CPA, CISA) preferred.
  • 15+/- years of progressive leadership roles and exposure to global operations.
  • Knowledge of audit and governance practices such as policy compliance and Sarbanes Oxley controls
  • Functional & Technical Capabilities:
  • Expert in Leadership and Communications; Advanced in Negotiation, Data Analysis, and Project Management.
  • Advanced in Governance, Strategy, ERM, Compliance, Fraud, Resilience, and Sustainability.
  • Advanced in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, HR; Intermediate in CRM and Marketing.
  • Others:
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to influence senior management levels.
  • High ethical standards and commitment to professional excellence.
  • Expert in Audit Methodologies, Integrated Assurance, Reporting Results; Advanced in IPPF and QAIP a plus.
