Head of AI Security

London Full time
Head of AI Security – (UK homebased)

We’re excited to introduce a new leadership role: Head of AI Security.

This is a strategic position within the Group CISO’s Strategy function, with responsibility for Capita’s AI security posture at a critical point of change in the threat landscape.

Why this role matters
• Exploitation timelines have reduced from months to hours
• Autonomous, multi-agent attacks are now operational
• The EU AI Act introduces high-risk obligations from August 2026

This role ensures Capita remains secure, compliant, and trusted as AI adoption accelerates.

What you’ll be doing
• Owning Capita’s AI security strategy and posture
• Line managing a small, established team of Security Architects
• Providing security leadership across AI-enabled platforms and products
• Partnering with AI technology leaders and Group CISO teams (policy, behaviour and culture, security management, and SecOps)
• Engaging with Capita’s AI Council and the wider business
• Building a demonstrable and defensible AI security framework that builds internal and external trust

The impact
You will be operating at the leading edge of AI-enabled Business Process Outsourcing in the UK, shaping the trustworthiness of services relied upon by millions of people every day.

This is a rare opportunity to influence AI security at enterprise scale—both now and for the future.

At Capita, we live by our values: 🤝 Customer First, Always; 🧑‍💻 Fearless Innovation; ✅ Achieve Together; 💙 Everyone is Valued. These guide how we work, collaborate, and deliver exceptional results.
