Why this role is important for us
As the Head of AI Operations, you are the anchor role for AI adoption and enablement within Operations.
This role is instrumental in bridging the gap between cutting edge AI Capability and operational excellence. You will establish the Ops AI Enablement capability, shaping the AI roadmap for Operations, and leading the systematic adoption of AI across operational processes.
The role owns the AI use case pipeline, prioritisation, and value realisation, ensuring AI initiatives are aligned with operational priorities, regulatory requirements, and measurable business outcomes.
This role offers a unique opportunity to shape how AI is adopted, governed, and embedded in Operations from the ground up.
What you will be responsible for
Leadership & team establishment
Set up and lead the newly established Ops AI Enablement team, including Senior AI Process Specialists and selected technical profiles
Define ways of working, roles, and collaboration model across Operations, CoE, Data, and technical enablement
Act as a people leader for the Ops AI Enablement team, fostering effective collaboration, clarity of ownership, and continuous learning
AI enablement setup & roadmap ownership
Play a key role in setting up the Ops AI Enablement team, including defining ways of working, interfaces to CoE, and collaboration with Operations leadership
Define and maintain the AI roadmap for Operations, aligned with Ops strategy, priorities, and maturity
AI portfolio ownership & prioritisation
Own the Ops AI innovation funnel and backlog, including intake, prioritisation, and sequencing of AI initiatives
Translate operational challenges into clearly scoped AI use cases with defined value hypotheses
Balance business value, feasibility, and risk when prioritising initiatives
Value tracking and benefits realisation
Own the benefits tracking framework for Ops AI initiatives: define metrics, measurement methodology, and reporting cadence
Report AI value outcomes in regular business reviews, ensuring accountability for results across the Operations leadership team
Proactively flag initiatives that are underperforming and drive corrective action
Adoption, change & stakeholder leadership
Act as a critical link between complex technical AI possibilities and senior business leadership, providing clarity and actionable insights.
Act as a key driver of AI adoption in Operations, ensuring AI solutions are embedded into day‑to‑day workflows
Partner with Business Transformation to support change management, training, and communication
Serve as the primary interface between Operations leadership, delivery teams, and technical enablement roles
Champion AI‑enabled ways of working and help build an AI‑ready culture in Operations
What we are looking for:
Experience & background
7+ years’ experience in AI service/product ownership, digital transformation, or AI/data enablement roles, or 5+ years with demonstrable AI product delivery at scale
Demonstrated ability to establish new teams, capabilities, or functions from scratch
Hands-on experience delivering AI-enabled features, tools, or workflows (e.g. automation, decision support, agent-based solutions, document intelligence)
Experience working in Operations, Financial Services, or other complex regulated environments, familiarity with compliance and risk frameworks is a strong advantage
Capabilities
Well-developed ability to translate complex technical topics including AI/ML capabilities and limitations into clear business value
Solid understanding of AI model lifecycle, data dependencies, human-in-the-loop design, and responsible AI principles
Experience defining roadmaps, success metrics, and benefit tracking frameworks that hold up in business reviews
Effective stakeholder management across business, technology, compliance, and governance functions
Personal profile
Structured, outcome‑oriented, and comfortable making prioritisation trade‑offs
Motivated by building something new and shaping direction
Confident operating in regulated environments
Able to move between strategic framing and hands‑on execution
