Head of AI

The Role 

We are looking for a Head of AI to lead this critical evolution. Your primary objective is to accelerate our AI transformation strategy which you will lead with a “show, don't tell"-attitude, creating a culture that fundamentally rethinks how work is accomplished. 

What You'll Do

Vision, Strategy and Ownership of Results

• Set the vision and strategy for Aiven’s AI transformation and be a role model for the change
• Lead the internal AI transformation to ensure the shift in how we operate happens faster
• Establish an AI enablement practice to support different functions through the change
• Set the frameworks to quantify investments and measure progress holistically throughout the organization

Partner to Win

• Partner with all functions to define and implement AI utilisation and efficiencies across our core business standards
• Partner with product to ensure our product strategy reflects the new paradigm 
• Partner with security to ensure all of the above is done in swift manner while maintaining our rigorous infosec standards

AI Infrastructure & Tooling

• Own the outcomes around AI tooling and infrastructure 
• Assess current tolls and resources, evaluate utilisation rates and make recommendations on which tools should be in use to drive impact
• Lead company wide context management practices and ensure we are set for success
• Evaluate our core operational systems to determine their interoperability with agents and plan the future of these together with our teams

What We're Looking For

You are a hands-on AI enthusiast, actively exploring and understanding the practical implications of emerging AI models, tools and frameworks. You have a strong network in the AI space and excel at communicating highly complex technical topics in a simple, digestible fashion.

You understand how to create an environment for change and have a natural tendency to build cross-functional bridges to maximise your impact. You have a strong bias for action and strongly prefer shipping a working prototype over sitting in a long meeting.

You are a high-energy individual with proven evidence of high-agency problem solving.
