Your Role

For our Finance Team based in Luxembourg, we are looking for a creative, strategic thinking, highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of Head of Accounting & Reporting elipsLife. The ideal candidate will be experienced in all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, general ledger administration, payment management, internal financial controls, taxation, financial projects, administration, and staff matters. This role will suit an individual who has excellent analytical, leadership, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in establishing and leading highly efficient financial solutions. Reporting to directly to the CFO elipsLife, the role holder will be responsible for leading and driving the design and execution of all aspects of the Accounting & Reporting department.

The key responsibilities of the Head of Accounting and Reporting will be:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate Closing under Local Stat and IFRS17 on a quarterly basis in accordance with Group Accounting policies.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate submission to FMA for all financial information
  • Reviewing reconciliations between the General ledger and other supporting systems.
  • Liaise with internal and external audits, and regulators to ensure that all audit actions points relating to financial controls are implemented in full and on time.
  • Ensuring compliance and timely submission with the local corporate , income and other tax regimes e.g. withholding tax, VAT, reverse tax etc.
  • Contributing to maintenance of high professional financial standards within the organization
  • Providing leadership to the finance management team to ensure timely delivery of all financial statements.
  • Lead the different Accounting colleagues in the different countries
  • Supporting the CFO to implement the Finance Strategy and ensuring there is proper staffing and development of finance staff.

Your Profile

  • Master’s / bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related degree
  • Business fluency in English, German would be a strong asset
  • Excellent understanding of Financial and Management Accounting processes
  • Leadership experience is requested
  • Insurance experience is an advantage
  • Team player, comfortable collaborating with team members across multiple locations
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proactive and solution-oriented mind-set
  • Ability to prioritize and to keep the overview
  • High level of accuracy and responsibility
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting

We are looking for a candidate comfortable with frequent travelling to Zurich and the Netherlands.
