Section 1: Position Summary
This key leadership role reports directly to the head of the Government Savings line of business and is responsible for managing all aspects of the ABLE business. This role leads and works collaboratively across the business with leadership and key stakeholders in business development, client services, finance, legal, marketing, product, relationship management, and technology.
Section 2: Job Functions, Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Primary senior leadership responsibility for ABLE products and service offerings
• Own and manage overall relationships with key external clients and partners
• Serve as central point of contact for relationship management team members with single state ABLE plans, and coordinate ABLE activity across all relationships
• Act as central point of market intelligence in the ABLE space: Competitive landscape, pricing, investments, key platform functionality
• Drive business/legal structure strategy for multi-state ABLE consortiums
• Collaborate and prioritize with product to drive platform initiatives across ABLE relationships
• Collaborate and liaise with service and operations teams; lead efforts to improve the ABLE client experience
• Partner with and support new business development opportunities including workplace efforts, directing related RFP responses
• Partner with and build and maintain relationship with key internal and external stakeholders; serve as key representative in the industry including conferences and committees
• Responsible for protecting, securing, and proper handling of all confidential data held by Ascensus to ensure against unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or unapproved disclosure of information that could result in harm to Ascensus or our clients.

• N/A; while this position is expected to have no direct reports, it has indirect responsibilities for related ABLE business teams
Section 3: Experience, Skills, Knowledge Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree: MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
• 10 years or more experience in financial or retirement services industry
• Experience managing a P&L, and developing annual budgets
• Proven leadership experience, with solid decision-making skills
• Experience building presentations for clients and executive management
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the legislative/regulatory environment in the financial services industry; ABLE experience strongly preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be able to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of internal and external counterparts
• Ability to negotiate and experience influencing senior stakeholders
• Ability to assimilate to new experiences, learn quickly and absorb a steep growth curve
• Must be results oriented and move fast to meet client needs
• Some travel required as business needs arise
