Job Purpose:

To drive the formulation, execution, and monitoring of the Group’s strategic roadmap, while leading key transformation initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, business performance, and long-term value creation.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy Formulation & Planning

  • Support the development and articulation of the Group’s short- and long-term strategic plans, aligned to the Bank’s vision, priorities, and financial targets.

  • Coordinate the annual strategic planning cycle, ensuring alignment across business and support functions.

  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, with clear milestones, deliverables, and ownership.

Strategic Execution & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor and track the progress of key strategic initiatives, ensuring timely execution and delivery against defined outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting mechanisms to track performance against strategic KPIs.

  • Identify gaps, risks, and interdependencies, and recommend corrective actions where required.

Transformation Management

  • Lead and support enterprise-wide transformation initiatives aimed at improving efficiency, productivity, and business outcomes.

  • Drive change management efforts, including stakeholder alignment, communication, and adoption of new ways of working.

  • Work closely with business and functional heads to embed transformation initiatives into day-to-day operations.

Strategic Analysis & Business Insights

  • Conduct strategic reviews, business diagnostics, and financial/operational analyses to support decision-making.

  • Prepare business cases, feasibility studies, and impact assessments for key strategic initiatives.

  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to senior management on business performance and growth opportunities.

Market Intelligence & Benchmarking

  • Perform market research and industry benchmarking to assess competitive positioning and emerging trends.

  • Monitor market developments and translate insights into strategic implications and recommendations for the Group.

Stakeholder Engagement & Alignment

  • Partner closely with business heads and senior management to refine business strategies and execution priorities.

  • Support the Head, Group Corporate Strategy and Group Chief Corporate Strategy & Sustainability Officer and senior leadership in strategic discussions, presentations, and decision-making forums.

  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment to ensure cohesive execution of Group-wide initiatives.

Business Improvement & Value Creation

  • Identify opportunities to enhance revenue, optimize costs, and improve operational efficiency across the Group.

  • Review existing processes, products, and initiatives to ensure alignment with strategic priorities and performance objectives.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure strategic initiatives and transformation programs adhere to internal policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

  • Support governance processes, including preparation of management and board-level papers related to strategy and transformation.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Corporate Strategy or Transformation Units

  • Proven track record in leading strategic initiatives or transformation programs.

  • Experience engaging with Top Management and board-level stakeholders preferred.

  • A Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related fields is preferred.

  • Strong strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into execution.

  • Strong experience in strategy, transformation, consulting, or corporate planning within financial services or related industries.

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and drive execution in a complex organization.

  • Strong financial acumen and profitability management capability.

  • Influential stakeholder management and board-level communication skills.

  • High commercial orientation with structured problem-solving ability.

  • Change leadership and ability to drive cross-functional alignment.
