What is the Opportunity?

As Head of Digital Product for Wealth Management Online, you’ll lead strategic digital transformation across our wealth management online platform. This is a pivotal leadership role where you’ll partner with senior executives to define our digital vision, drive competitive advantage, and deliver exceptional experiences for both advisors and clients. You’ll take ownership of Wealth Management Online and shape the future of how Canadians engage with their Investments and Advisors through digital channels.

RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What Will You Do?

  • Develop and articulate a compelling strategic product vision aligned with Wealth Management Canada’s business objectives and client needs

  • Lead strategy development and execution for Wealth Management Online, establishing multi-year roadmaps that drive competitive advantage

  • Partner with Wealth Management Canada senior leadership to identify digital opportunities and translate business strategy into product strategy

  • Serve as primary product leader for Wealth Management Canada digital initiatives, liaising regularly with senior management on strategic priorities and outcomes

  • Lead discussions on product strategy, market positioning, and digital investment decisions

  • Present product strategy, performance metrics, and business cases to senior leadership and investment committees

  • Lead and mentor a team of 5-10 product professionals, building an exceptional product organization that attracts and retains top digital product talent

  • Foster a culture of strategic thinking, customer-centricity, and continuous development across your product team

  • Collaborate with Investment Advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure products meet advisor and client needs

  • Champion a deeply customer-focused culture across the organization, actively seeking and integrating user feedback from advisors and clients

What Do You Need to Succeed?

Must-Have

  • Proven experience in senior product leadership, including building and leading high-performing product teams

  • Demonstrated success developing and executing product strategy in complex, regulated environments

  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership

  • Strong capability in talent development, coaching, and organizational leadership

  • Data-driven mindset with ability to translate insights into strategic decisions

  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries

Nice-to-Have

  • Background in wealth management, investment advisory, or financial services digital transformation

  • Experience building and scaling product organizations from the ground up

  • Familiarity with multi-channel digital platforms and advisor-facing tools

  • Knowledge of user research methodologies and customer discovery practices
