The Opportunity
Our Latin America and Canada Region has an opportunity for a Head of Digital Health Solutions in Abbott Diagnostics. This role will lead the commercial team for the DHS business. Build a clear strategy to profitably grow market share and revenue and meet or exceed plan commitments. Collaborate with and has dotted line responsibility for other functions. The position needs to be based in Latin America (Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, others).
What You’ll Do
- Manage P&L, ensure business functions drive operational efficiencies, and improve Gross Margin & Division Margin to meet the financial profile.
- Develop and execute an annual strategic plan to meet sales and margin commitment.
- Lead LAC organization of direct reports plus dotted line support, ensure team is equipped with the appropriate training and resources for success.
- Identify customer needs and support team to demonstrate the value of customers leveraging informatics products and services.
- Create demand by identifying new products and solutions that are customer-centric with the potential to increase revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Engage regularly with cross-functional leadership to ensure effective relationship between regions and alignment on priorities for dotted line support.
- Join team members for field travel on a regular basis to assess business opportunities, build customer relationships, and provide coaching to all employees.
- Develop a high-performance organization by acquiring, developing and retaining top talent; drive a culture of continuous improvement, creativity, and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree.
- 8+ years in progressively responsible leadership roles.
- High Proficiency in English & Spanish.
- Experience leading & executing complex (multi stakeholder/multiyear) contract negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to align and integrate diverse business teams and functions to ensure they work together to deliver results.
- IT Healthcare experience. Knowledge of product portfolio including informatics systems such as AMS, BIS, and CDS as well as professional services, and how they can improve healthcare outcomes.
- Proven track record in gaining market share or growing the market and/or renewing/defending existing business.
- Proficient in Portuguese (preferred).
