Position Summary:
The Athletics Department at Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Head Cheer Coach in Boca Raton, FL.
Florida Atlantic University seeks a dynamic and experienced Head Coach to lead its Cheer Team. This role oversees all aspects of the program, including recruitment, training, game day performance, and national competition preparation. The Head Coach will build a disciplined, high-performing team that reflects the standards of NCAA Division I athletics and competes at a national level.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the FAU Cheer program
Recruit, evaluate, and select elite-level student-athletes
Plan and conduct practices, conditioning, and skill development
Coach advanced stunting, tumbling, pyramids, and performance execution
Oversee game day participation at football, basketball, and athletic events
Prepare and organize choreography for nationals
Organize & select music producer for nationals
Collaborate with the Spirit Coordinator to manage program budgets and administrative operations (including but limited to gathering team info for camp & nationals registrations, room assignments, etc)
Manage team calendar for scheduling, travel logistics, and the team’s day to day operations
Ensure compliance with university and NCAA guidelines
Promote academic success, leadership, and team culture
Represent FAU at appearances and community engagement events
Expectations & Commitment

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and Collegiate Cheer experience required.Salary:
