The Head of Cards Product will lead the end-to-end strategy, development, and management of the cards business. This role is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and customer experience across the cards portfolio, while ensuring strong governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic partnerships within the fintech and banking ecosystem.
You will be responsible for the following:
Drive overall strategy, business direction, and full P&L management for the Cards Business
Lead and manage a high-performing team of Product Managers, Product Owners, and support functions
Identify revenue opportunities and implement cost optimization strategies to achieve profitability
Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of cards-related initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Oversee product lifecycle management, from development to launch and continuous improvement
Partner with customer and marketing teams to execute go-to-market strategies and grow key metrics (acquisition and usage)
Represent the organization in engagements with card schemes and partners such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and BancNet
Ensure compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and governance standards
Lead risk management initiatives, including fraud prevention and credit risk controls
Analyze regulatory updates and co-lead discussions shaping the organization’s position with senior leadership
Define and track KPIs, leveraging data insights to drive continuous performance improvement
Build and strengthen strategic partnerships across banking, fintech, and regulatory stakeholders
We are looking for:
Strong leadership experience in cards, payments, banking, or fintech
Proven track record in managing P&L and driving business growth
Deep understanding of cards business, including acquisition, usage, and lifecycle management
Experience in working with regulators and ensuring compliance in a financial services environment
Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex initiatives
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Experience working with global card schemes (e.g., Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) is highly preferred
Strong communication and influencing skills at senior leadership level
