The HCP & Diabetes Clinic Growth Development Specialist is a marketing focused role dedicated to expanding awareness, adoption, and advocacy for Ascensia’s Diabetes Care portfolio within Diabetes Education Centers. Partnering closely with healthcare professionals, this role drives demand through education, strategic account development, and impactful brand engagement. By strengthening trusted HCP relationships and influencing first-line product recommendations, the Specialist plays a key role in shaping patient treatment decisions.
Location: Hybrid - Mississauga
What you will be doing:
- Identify and engage approximately 400 key education centers to drive product recommendation.
- Position Ascensia’s solutions as the preferred choice by aligning clinic needs with marketing campaigns.
- Build strong partnerships with clinic stakeholders to influence patient diagnosis and treatment pathways.
- Develop and implement go-to-market strategies to help drive awareness and expand recommendation of the CONTOUR® portfolio in niche markets.
- Optimize marketing content and literature to meet the specific needs of healthcare professionals, ensuring effective promotion of tools that support remote counseling and connected patient solutions.
- Simplify and align concepts of complex diabetes disease management into a clear, compelling message that highlights product features and benefits.
- Attend diabetes professional conferences as the key marketing touch point for business growth development.
- Execute national marketing and clinic-specific programs to support customer needs.
- Ensure sample placement, educational kit distribution, and promotional activities align with strategic goals.
- Strengthen relationships with HCPs through consistent, high-quality interactions.
- Provide call-in support for HCPs, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and product-related needs & training.
- Support product placement and ensure effective utilization of connected solutions and remote patient monitoring.
- Recognize and act on opportunities to expand product adoption and improve patient outcomes.
- Detail and train DECs to influence patient decisions, and aid in penetration of product portfolio expansion.
- Increase awareness and conversion of key diabetes patient groups.
- Develop and maintain an account call plan focused on Diabetes Education Centers, including call strategies, resource allocation, and KPI tracking.
- Leverage dashboards and CRM tools to monitor progress, capture call details, and maintain accurate customer records.
- Collaborate with regional and national sales teams to share insights, trends, and best practices.
- Support field sales, when needed, with Healthcare Professional account meter placement.
Skills you will need:
- University degree in Science, Business, Marketing or related field (required).
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical business development and sales (preferred).
- Disease state knowledge and understanding.
- Experience engaging HCPs through virtual platforms, email, and outbound calls (asset).
- Self-motivated, energetic, and passionate about improving patient care through product adoption.
- Proven ability to drive results with strong business acumen and customer focus.
- Skilled at building and maintaining professional relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Bilingual in English and French (preferred).
The salary range for this position is: $60,000-85,000 CAD, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
