The HCM Product Analyst is responsible for overseeing the ongoing support, optimization, and future enhancements of the Human Capital Management (HCM) application, aligning with the Company’s mission and strategic objectives. This role will help develop and implement best practices to support internal users and enhance the team member experience. Acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, the HCM Product Analyst will collaborate with subject matter experts to assess business needs, identify areas for improvement, and prioritize system updates. Additionally, this role will lead the biannual Workday release management process, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure all release management requirements are effectively integrated into the deployment process.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Lead discovery and requirements documentation/analysis initiatives for HCM tools including but not limited to UKG and Workday solutions across key modules including HCM, Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, Reporting, Recruiting, Talent Management, and Absence.
Collaborate with IT and HR to define product requirements, prioritize features, and optimize the user experience
Measure and monitor progress of release-related tasks and ensure timely execution across all stakeholders.
Coordinate configuration, testing, and validation activities across appropriate teams.
Serve as liaison between HR, IT, and HCM vendors, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution, including leading and supporting meetings as needed
Plan, coordinate, and communicate activities related to system releases to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
Evaluate each release cycle to identify opportunities that improve HCM functionality and business value for process improvement, automation, and increased efficiency.
Produce and distribute regular reports/newsletters and metrics to inform stakeholders and support data-driven decision-making.
Promote user engagement and adoption of Workday by coordinating campaigns and communications that align with company goals.
Support the HR Technology team by responding to inquiries via calls and emails as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the HR Technology function and broader organization.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Human Resources or Technology (equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree)
Experience operating in high-frequency release software development lifecycles
Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
Strong, proven problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze effectively and escalate to the appropriate team for resolution
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
Strong foundational understanding of HR best practices and key concepts
Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate complicated details effectively with individuals at all levels
Ability to collaborate and build strong relationships with team members, management, and key stakeholders
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Desired:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field (equivalent experience considered in lieu of degree)
Professional experience in the implementation of Workday HR administration or related phases
Experience in Workday administration
2 years’ experience in Release Management
Thorough knowledge of release management processes using current trends and tools in the industry
