Job Title: Havocs Leader (NFWS)

Position Summary/Purpose:

The GCU Havocs Leader’s primary role is to create the game day environment for students at GCU Division One sporting events. A Havocs Leader will gain real-world experience in Collegiate Athletics through social media, marketing, and in-game entertainment.    

Responsibilities 

  • Provide support for all NCAA sports on campus

  • Strive to create the best game day environment at each sporting event they attend

  • Host events such as Camp Elliott and Tailgates

  • Use social media and other marketing tools to raise awareness of NCAA games on campus

  • Must act as an ambassador to the University and GCU Athletics 

  • Will have the opportunity to work with GCU Executives and Athletics staff members

  • Cell Phone

  • Computer

  • Social Media 

Qualifications:

  • Completed at least a full semester as a GCU Student

  • Effective communication skills

  • Available to work nights and weekends 

  • Possess crowd management skills 

  • Social media and marketing experience preferred 

  • Prior student section leading preferred

• Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.

• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.

• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.

Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
