Description
This position is responsible for entry level non-skilled general labor while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This Harvest Room position will be scheduled for 1st Shift .
A successful applicant can be hired for a Harvest Room Labor or Harvest Room Backup position. Both have the same pay and perform similar duties.
Tasks
The live hanger position removes a bird from the hanging belt, by grasping a chicken first by one leg and then the other leg. Once positioned, breast side away from hanger, they will hang the bird by both legs into a shackle. Hang rate varies by bird weight.
Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing pulling and reaching are required. These positions work in a dusty, hot, and humid to cold and damp environment on slippery surfaces. Jobs are fast paced and require repetitive motion. Some positions require lifting, pushing and pulling up to 40 lbs. Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching and pulling.
All applicants must provide their government identification number so the system can verify any previous Tyson employment history.
This facility accepts rehires after 180days and only if the applicant has not worked more than two previous times for Tyson. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
