Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Harpoon Launch Systems Program Manager (Level K) to join the Harpoon Coastal Defense System (HCDS) Program Management team in Saint Charles, MO!

This position will provide the leadership for the Launch Systems program team responsible for completing production programs and will have broad leadership authority and RAA to perform Program Manager (PM) responsibilities.  The program manager has overall responsibility for technical, cost and schedule performance to plan. Skills required for this position include an understanding of and ability to manage a production program and launch systems deliveries, and strong customer and supplier engagement. This leadership role supports a critical program for the US Navy.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage project plans and deliverables, direct all project phases and act as primary contact to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate across Boeing functions (finance, contracts, quality, engineering, supply chain) to obtain the necessary resources to support program execution
  • Support Program Management Reviews with customers
  • Work with the program team to identify and mitigate program risks (Boeing and suppliers) and develop program opportunities
  • Develop a strategy for follow-on efforts with a wide range of customers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at St. Charles, MO.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years performing in a leadership role
  • Experience leading projects that require integration across business units and/or multiple functions
  • Experience managing/supporting suppliers (i.e. analyzing cost and schedule, managing baselines)
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher
  • Experience working with external customers and the various internal functions such as engineering, supplier management, finance, contracts, production operations and quality
  • Experience in senior level customer interaction and engagement, defining customer strategies and developing capability roadmaps through a thorough understanding of funding and acquisition requirements and fielding needs.
  • Experience in program management best practices (PMBP)

Summary pay range: $136,000 - $184,000
