Job Summary
The Hardware Engineer role within Novanta Intelligent Motion Systems (IMS) focuses on the development of robust, high‑performance electronics for integrated stepper motor solutions. The position involves system‑level design of motor drives, control electronics, power management, and communication interfaces for industrial and medical motion applications. Working closely with cross‑functional teams and customers, the role supports both standard platforms and customized solutions from concept through production, with a strong emphasis on reliability, manufacturability, and long‑term product performance.
The selected engineer will be focused on collaborating with the operations team in quality and operational improvements of all the hardware designs of our stepper motors product line. The selected engineer will also collaborate in the design, implementation and verification of the new designs. The position requires good hardware skills but also a deep understanding of design for manufacturing and reliability.
