Major Accountabilities:

Lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives within the hardware and product engineering teams to enhance processes, methodologies, and product quality.

Conduct DFMEA activities to proactively identify and mitigate potential failure modes and risks in product designs, ensuring robust and reliable hardware solutions.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) to identify the underlying causes of product issues or failures, utilizing techniques such as 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and Pareto analysis.

Establish and maintain quality control processes and procedures to ensure that hardware and product engineering activities meet defined quality standards and customer requirements.

Conduct reliability analysis to assess the performance and durability of hardware components and systems under various operating conditions.

Integrate Poka-Yoke (error-proofing) mechanisms into hardware design and manufacturing processes to prevent errors and defects before they occur.

Manage end-of-series (EOS) activities for hardware components and products, including inventory management, disposition of obsolete parts, and transition to alternative solutions.

Support the Product Development Process (PDP) 2.0 stages by providing continuous improvement expertise and guidance to project teams throughout the product lifecycle.

Apply Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Total Quality Management principles and methodologies to drive process improvements and achieve operational excellence in hardware and product engineering.

Utilize Shainin Red X methodologies to solve complex engineering problems and optimize product performance, reliability, and quality.

Translate Product Change Requests (PCR) and Design Problem Resolution Tracking System (DPRTS) data into actionable tasks and projects in JIRA.

Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to monitor and control variation in manufacturing and engineering processes.
