At Marvell, you can affect the arc of individual lives, lift the trajectory of entire industries, and fuel the transformative potential of tomorrow. For those looking to make their mark on purposeful and enduring innovation, above and beyond fleeting trends, Marvell is a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Team, Your Impact

The Data Center Engineering (DCE) group in Westlake Village is responsible for post‑silicon design validation of broadband analog amplifiers, analog validation of DSP products, high‑speed device modeling, integrated optics and Silicon Photonics design validation.
The qualified candidate will work with a team of energetic, technically strong, multi‑disciplined engineers to develop and validate broadband analog amplifiers, integrated optics and Silicon Photonics components, high‑speed optical communication systems, and related subsystems that enable next‑generation communication infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be part of the Sub system Development team, contributing to system board‑level hardware design, software scripting and automation, and test and validation of Marvell’s communication integrated circuits (ICs), Silicon Photonics devices, and subsystem solutions. The role provides opportunities to broaden technical depth, expand system‑level responsibility, and grow across a wide range of engineering disciplines over time.

What You Can Expect

  • Perform hands‑on silicon bring‑up and post‑silicon debug activities across analog, mixed‑signal, and high‑speed designs.
  • Work cross‑functionally with silicon design, system development, marketing, and test engineering teams to support validation objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with designers to debug, analyze, document, and resolve issues identified during validation, including root‑cause analysis and closure tracking.
  • Mentor and support new and/or less experienced team members through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
  • Identify validation coverage gaps and define, develop, and execute validation tests as required.
  • Propose and evaluate innovative validation methodologies and metrology to improve overall validation efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop, write, and review software and scripts used for bench automation, data collection, and analysis.
  • Generate, review, and present validation reports, including test results, analysis, and documentation.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering with 3–5 years of professional experience, or Master’s degree with 2–3 years of professional experience, in one or more of the following domains: post‑silicon validation, RF, microwave, or optical interconnect validation.
  • Solid understanding of silicon validation of mixed‑signal, analog, and digital ICs and functional blocks.
  • Good understanding of microwave and RF test and measurement techniques.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, and/or Python software development for test, automation, and data analysis.
  • Proficient in the operation and principles of modern high‑speed test and measurement equipment, including but not limited to: Power supplies and multimeters, Spectrum analyzers, Oscilloscopes (with emphasis on jitter and noise analysis), Bit error rate testers (including modulation and jitter sources), Vector network analyzers (VNA), Arbitrary waveform generators (AWG), Lightwave components analyzer (LCA),
  • Ability to work across disciplines and manage time effectively across multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of test metrology for high‑speed custom and standards‑compliant SerDes products.
  • Ability to analyze and identify sources of noise and jitter in high‑speed systems.
  • Familiarity with optical components and Silicon Photonics devices.
  • Familiarity with RF and microwave components and interconnects.
  • High speed on wafer probing experience.

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

109,400 - 161,950, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
