Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Handling Qualities Specialist (f/m) to join our Aircraft Controls domain based in Toulouse, France.

 

You will be part of a team developing flight controls and handling qualities certification and safety solutions. As part of the control integration team, you will be involved in the certification and airworthiness of handling qualities aiming at ensuring the highest level of safety and compliance for our products.

Your challenges:
 

  • Define the Certification Plan and negotiate with the airworthiness authorities for handling qualities and manual laws modifications.

  • Coordinate various stakeholders (designers, test centers, pilots) for the issuance of the means of compliance.

  • Interface with the Airworthiness Authorities throughout the certification process and during Airworthiness Review Meetings.

  • Lead the continuous airworthiness assessment of in-service aircraft by following up on occurrences and escalating potential safety issues.

  • Contribute to the relevant preventive and corrective actions plans in due time, in close cooperation with the designers.

     

Your boarding pass:
 

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in certification and qualification, handling qualities, or flight mechanics.

  • Significant experience in system architecture and integration, or in engineering.

  • Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation skills.

  • High level of autonomy and ability to motivate diverse teams.

  • Negotiation level in English.

     

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
