GULF, Libya & Egypt Cardiometabolic Brand and Customer Manager
Location: Dubai, UAE

About the Role
The GULF, Libya & Egypt (GLE) Cardiometabolic Brand and Customer Manager will lead our cardiometabolic portfolio in a strategic and highly visible role.
This position has two main pillars:
1. Lead a major new launch in cardiovascular (lipid-lowering) – shaping and executing the launch strategy for one of our most important future growth drivers in the region.
2. Manage our established diabetes portfolio – overseeing a solid, established brand/franchise and maximizing key opportunities across the GLE markets.
You will be responsible for market understanding, brand strategy development and execution, cross-functional leadership, and close partnership with Sales and other key functions.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Planning
- Lead the development and implementation of GLE brand strategies for the cardiovascular launch and established diabetes portfolio.
- Translate global/cluster strategies into localized, insight-driven brand plans for GULF, Libya and Egypt.
- Define clear objectives, positioning, value propositions and key messages for priority customer segments.
- Develop annual brand plans and tactical plans with clear KPIs and performance measures.
Cardiovascular Launch Leadership
- Own the end-to-end launch strategy and execution for the new cardiovascular lipid-lowering brand.
- Drive launch readiness: milestones, success metrics, go-to-market model, and resource planning.
- Lead pre-launch and launch activities, including KOL and stakeholder engagement and impactful launch campaigns.
- Monitor competitive dynamics and adjust launch tactics to secure strong and sustainable uptake.
Established Diabetes Portfolio Management
- Manage and optimize performance of the established diabetes portfolio across GLE.
- Identify and prioritize growth and defense opportunities by segment, geography and channel.
- Execute tactical initiatives to sustain and grow market share, brand equity and profitability for the existing brands.
Market & Customer Insights
- Build deep understanding of the cardiometabolic (with focus on cardiology) landscape in GULF, Libya and Egypt.
- Analyze market data, competitive intelligence and treatment patterns to identify opportunities and risks.
- Generate and apply actionable customer insights from HCPs, KOLs and payers to guide strategies and tactics.
Digital & Omnichannel Engagement
- Design and implement digital and omnichannel initiatives (e.g., email, webinars, remote engagement, web content, compliant social/digital channels) supporting both the launch and established portfolio.
- Integrate digital and field activities to deliver a coherent customer experience.
- Use analytics to track engagement and impact, adjusting content, targeting and channel mix based on insights.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead the cross-functional brand team (Sales, Market Access, Policy, Medical, Regulatory, Finance, etc.) to ensure aligned and integrated execution.
- Partner with Market Access and Policy to support access, pricing and policy initiatives aligned to brand priorities.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs to ensure scientifically sound, compliant communication and strong medical–marketing synergy.
- Manage agencies and external partners to deliver high-quality promotional and educational materials.
Execution, Performance & Compliance
- Work closely with Sales to ensure strong execution in the field, including clear direction, tools and training.
- Track performance versus KPIs (sales, market share, uptake, digital metrics, engagement) and adjust plans accordingly.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, ethical standards and local regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Bachelors Degree in any relevant field (Pharma/Business)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven experience in marketing and/or brand management with responsibility for strategy and execution.
- Direct experience working in the GULF pharmaceutical market.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into effective strategies and actions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a matrix environment.
- Ability and willingness to be based in Dubai.
Preferred:
- Direct experience working in the GULF pharmaceutical market is preferred
- Experience in the Cardiometabolic and/or Cardiology therapeutic area
- Proven experience with product launches, ideally in cardiovascular or other specialty areas.
- Strong background in digital/omnichannel marketing.
Travel Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel within the GULF, Libya & Egypt region as business needs require.
