30Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you enjoy working with people and coordinating meaningful programs? Gundersen Health System is seeking a dedicated Guest & Volunteer Coordinator to lead and grow our volunteer services program.
About the Role:
As the Program Coordinator for Volunteer Services, you will be the driving force behind the development, design, and management of our volunteer program. You will collaborate with leadership, volunteers, and staff across 30+ departments to ensure a positive and impactful volunteer experience. Your role will include recruiting new volunteers, managing schedules, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering strong community partnerships.
What's Available:
0.75 FTE (30 hours/week) ~ typically will be scheduled 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., 4-days per week (Monday through Friday).
Schedule flexibility may be needed to work occasional evening or weekend commitment for function or events.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day volunteer program operations including recruitment, onboarding, and retention
Manage volunteer schedules and ensure coverage across departments
Maintain volunteer databases and track hours
Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal guidelines
Build relationships with educational institutions and community groups
Coordinate volunteer appreciation events and advocate for volunteer contributions

Pay range of $19.86 - $28.47 / hour, based on related experience.

Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum 1 year of experience in volunteer management (all clubs, groups and community service will be considered); healthcare experience a plus
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Comprehensive computer experience (MS Office) will be beneficial to support programming areas.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups
