What You Will Do:
Commercial Engines, Aftermarket Operations is seeking a highly-motivated, capable, self-directed individual for a New Disassembly, Assembly & Test (DAT) Strategy Lead role in support of the Commercial Geared Turbo Fan (GTF) Program. This role reports to the Associate Director New DAT Industrialization.
As a New DAT Strategy Lead, the core role responsibilities are centered around owning, establishing, and driving New DAT readiness playbook inclusive of gated “passport” process, expediting the knowledge transfer of the New DAT readiness playbook with new DAT Leads and cross functional organizations within P&W and GTF Network of shops. Goal is to drive rigor and discipline through Industrialization process for new DATs to reach mature level of performance.
Your role will be instrumental in turning this vision into reality by deploying these capabilities effectively across the organization, ensuring alignment with operational goals, and driving the adoption of New DAT Industrialization practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and evolve Industrialization playbook for new DAT’s
Define “passport” process, evaluate use of playbook and adopt best practices to improve readiness outcomes
Leverage RTX risk assessment tools to better prepare the new DATs and align critical strategies for risk mitigation
Document, capture lessons learned and best practices from New DAT Planning and Industrial Leads to evolve Industrialization playbook
Engage with, influence, and communicate to internal/external senior leaders regarding DAT performance, including proposed solutions or help needed
Create tailored training and education materials to support the successful adoption of new processes and tools
Provide and/or coordinate with CORE and Transformation teams to evolve digital tools that align with Commercial Engines Operations objectives
Demonstrate a high level of proficiency and working knowledge of project management and continuous improvement methodologies
Travel: Up to 20% (domestic and international)
What You Will Learn:
GTF Aftermarket operations – GTF engine disassembly/assembly/test processes, and network-wide technical challenges and optimization opportunities that impact engine overhaul and output
External (“customer” / partner / supplier) focus – direct interaction with leadership and teams across 3rd party/airline DATs
P&W Matrix management – interaction with leadership and teams across various commercial, operations, and engineering organizations
Qualifications You Must Have:
Advanced Degree with 10+ years of experience in Operations, Engineering and/or Technical role within an Aftermarket MRO or Aerospace Manufacturing environment; OR Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of relevant industry experience.
Must have a valid US Passport and support travel demands
Must be able to obtain travel visas required to support travel within the assigned territory (Singapore, European Union, and United States)
Qualifications We Prefer:
Degree in STEM field; Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering fields preferred.
Advanced experience working in Repair Station MRO environment, particularly in turbine engine Disassembly, Assembly and Test (DAT) environment.
Strong technical and functional knowledge of turbine engines and/or Pratt & Whitney products.
Experience leading a global team and managing projects across time zones
Project management experience and ability to manage projects across time zones
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and influence leadership, peers, and cross-functional teams
Demonstrated ability to effectively and proactively communicate to and influence leadership, peers, and cross-functional teams
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma).

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
