About the Role
The Growth Lead will own the growth marketing charter for credit cards and financial services products within the Paytm ecosystem. This is a senior role responsible for defining growth strategy, leading teams, and driving large-scale execution across acquisition, lifecycle, and engagement funnels.
The role combines strategic ownership with strong execution rigor across CRM, performance marketing, experimentation, and funnel optimization. The incumbent will work closely with senior stakeholders across Product, Tech, Data, Risk, and Marketing, and will be accountable for scaling impact across multiple journeys and user segments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Growth Strategy & Execution
- Own the end-to-end growth marketing strategy for credit card and financial services products across the Paytm ecosystem.
- Define long-term growth roadmap covering acquisition, onboarding, engagement, and reactivation funnels.
- Lead large-scale, multi-channel growth initiatives across app surfaces, CRM, and paid channels.
- Set clear growth priorities and balance short-term wins with long-term scalable programs.
2. Funnel & Conversion Optimization
- Own core funnel metrics including impressions, CTR, leads, and downstream conversion indicators.
- Identify and prioritize drop-offs across sourcing, onboarding, and engagement journeys.
- Drive structured retargeting and remarketing strategies to recover funnel drop-offs at scale.
- Partner with Product and Tech teams to improve funnel UX, journey design, and system-led optimizations.
3. Campaigns, Offers & Event-Based Marketing
- Drive marketing strategy and execution for offers, promotions, and event-based campaigns within the Paytm ecosystem.
- Design category-led, seasonal, and trigger-based campaigns to drive awareness, engagement, and lead generation.
- Translate product constructs into simple, compelling consumer communication across app and CRM channels.
4. Data-Driven Experimentation & Analytics
- Define the experimentation and A/B testing roadmap across creatives, channels, journeys, and offers.
- Institutionalize best practices for experimentation, measurement, and learning across teams.
- Review performance dashboards and deep-dives; guide teams to convert insights into action.
- Ensure strong measurement frameworks for campaign attribution and funnel analysis.
5. Customer Segmentation & Personalization
- Segment users based on transactional, behavioral, and lifecycle signals.
- Design targeted CRM and in-app journeys for different cohorts (new users, drop-offs, dormant users, high-intent leads).
- Drive personalization at scale using data and automation while adhering to platform and regulatory guidelines.
6. Team Leadership & Execution Management
- Lead and mentor a team of campaign managers across CRM, lifecycle, and performance marketing.
- Set clear goals, execution plans, and review mechanisms to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality campaigns.
- Guide campaign managers on experimentation design, audience segmentation, and performance optimization.
7. Paytm Ecosystem & Channel Execution
- Own execution excellence across Paytm’s ecosystem including app placements, notifications, email, SMS, and paid channels.
- Define standards for creative quality, messaging consistency, and journey orchestration across touchpoints.
- Leverage platform capabilities to scale high-impact, event-based and trigger-led campaigns.
8. Market & Competitive Intelligence
- Track market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor strategies in cards, payments, and consumer finance.
- Use insights to refine growth strategy, product positioning, and customer value proposition.

- Impressions and reach across owned and paid channels
- CTR and engagement across creatives and journeys
- Leads generated and cost per lead
- Funnel drop-off and retargeting recovery rates
- Activation and reactivation driven via CRM and remarketing
Qualifications & Experience
- 5–8 years of experience in growth marketing, lifecycle marketing, or performance marketing within fintech, payments, or large consumer internet companies.
- Proven experience leading teams and driving growth at scale across multiple funnels or products.
- Strong hands-on and strategic experience with CRM and marketing automation tools such as CleverTap (preferred) or similar platforms.
- Deep expertise in event-based, trigger-led, and lifecycle campaign design.
- Strong command over experimentation, A/B testing frameworks, and data-driven decision making.
- Excellent understanding of digital funnels, attribution, retargeting, and drop-off recovery strategies.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, execution-focused environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication, leadership, and execution rigor.
Nice to Have
- Experience working within a super-app or large ecosystem platform.
- Prior exposure to credit cards, lending, or financial services products.
- Familiarity with growth analytics, attribution, and experimentation platforms.
