About the role
You own the HR and company experience as a strategic surface. You drive activation from contract to first employee value. You prove ROI so renewals are a formality. You expand revenue by designing the services, playbooks, and value propositions that make HR successful and willing to pay more.
Your scope covers three of OpenUp's growth pillars: boosting signups to OpenUp within companies, driving renewals through measurable HR value and proven ROI, and expanding average revenue per employee (ARPE) through new services and tiered packaging.
Responsibilities
- Activation: Streamline the online journey from contract signed to first employee value delivered. Establish baselines and strategies to drive activation and signups numbers up through structured experimentation, leveraging our tools and capabilities.
Work with customer success to design activation playbooks segmented by company size, industry, and use case.
- Customer and revenue expansion: Lead the development and delivery of value-added services that are currently in pilot or discovery phase. This includes Leadership Coaching and Private Sessions. Own the service design: what we offer, how we deliver it, what the menu looks like, and how we improve it based on feedback. Build and evolve the commercial case for expansion, premium offerings, and tiered service packages.
- Discovery, customer intelligence, and commercial strategy: Establish continuous discovery as a core function: customer interviews, usage data analysis, hypothesis formation, and validation cycles. Translate customer signals into packaging strategy and product requirements that feed the build pipeline.
- ROI and outcomes framework: Own and maintain the framework of what HR needs to see to prove value to their leadership, including logic and methodology.
What you'll do
- Collaborate closely with Customer Success who are at the frontline with customers and HR, and drive signups, activation and renewal conversations. You are their strategic partner to design and productise playbooks and you execute them. You collect the intelligence, they surface the signals.
- You collaborate with the PMs and Engineering lead to do your quarterly planning, prioritise and drive outcomes.
- You manage and coordinate the relationship between different stakeholders as needed, including Customers, Customer Success Managers, Experts & Coaches, and Freelancers as needed
- You work with Data (Snowflake, analytics) to define what to measure and interpret results. You don't need to write SQL, but you need to know what questions to ask, what the numbers mean, and what to do about them.
- OpenUp operates an AI-native engineering workflow. You don't need to code or use AI development tools directly, but you need to understand how the team works: specs written in structured markdown, rapid prototyping cycles, and a build-test-adopt-scale model. Your job is to make sure the right things get built by providing clear problem statements, acceptance criteria, and validated customer needs.
Requirements
- Experience in wellbeing, mental health, HR tech, or employee benefits platforms. You have worked in this space, either as a vendor, as an in-house People & Culture / HR leader, or as a consultant. You understand what HR buyers need, how they justify spend, and what makes them champion a platform internally. This is the core qualification.
- 5+ years in a role that combined customer-facing strategy with business outcomes. This could be product management, customer enablement, program management within an HR tech company. We are looking for someone who has owned a business outcome (activation, retention, revenue expansion, ROI), not just delivered programs or shipped features.
- Experience designing and packaging professional services alongside a product: coaching programs, training, workshops, consulting add-ons, or similar. You have built the service, not just delivered it.
- Commercial instinct. You understand pricing levers, packaging strategy, and how service decisions translate into revenue per customer and net retention. You are comfortable working with CS and commercial teams on deal structure and expansion conversations.
- Data-informed decision making. You are comfortable interpreting dashboards, defining KPIs, and working with a data team to answer questions. You don't need to write SQL, but you need to know what good data looks like and what to do when it doesn't exist yet.
Nice to have
- Background in B2B or B2B2C SaaS with land-and-expand dynamics
- Experience building ROI frameworks or outcomes measurement
- Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows or tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar
- Experience building for a non-technical enterprise buyer persona (HR, People & Culture, L&D)
- Experience with activation strategy, onboarding optimization, or customer engagement at scale
What the role offers
- A senior IC role with direct strategic impact on company revenue and growth
- Direct reporting to the CPTO, and exposure to board-level strategy.
- A company at an inflection point: you are not maintaining an existing product, you are building the B2B value layer from the ground up
- AI-native engineering environment where PMs ship
- The opportunity to work on something that matters: making mental wellbeing accessible to millions of people across Europe
