Policies, Guidelines, and Protocols: Follow established policies, guidelines, and protocols for health, safety and wellbeing activities. Report any issues or inconsistencies to the senior management and suggest improvements based on practical experience.
Health and Safety Planning: Assist with the execution of the HSW annual plan. Perform assigned tasks and ensure compliance with plan guidelines.
Health, Safety and Wellbeing Audit Compliance: Assist in conducting risk assessments and facility inspections. Identify hazards and report them to the Senior Professional or Supervisor. Follow HSW policies and procedures in daily tasks. Support the implementation of corrective actions. Participate in HSW training programs. Assist in incident investigations and documentation as required.
Training & Development: Participate in HSW training programs. Apply training to daily tasks and ensure compliance with guidelines. Provide feedback on training effectiveness.
Budgeting: Prepare initial budget estimates for health, safety & wellbeing projects, gathering necessary financial data and cost information. Support in monitoring and reporting on budget performance.
Insights and Reporting: Prepare reports or presentations summarizing results or conclusions of ergonomics activities, such as testing, investigation, or validation.
Operational Compliance: Investigate standard incidents using current regulatory and compliance processes, systems and procedures, and take action to solve immediate compliance issues. Advise more senior colleagues on more complex problems.
Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.
Relationship Management: Foster effective working relationships with team members and relevant internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with health, safety, and wellbeing policies. Provide clear and credible advice, enhancing trust and influence among employees to promote adherence to safety protocols.
