Group SHE is the corporate department for Safety, Security, Health and Environment. Our vision for SHE@Roche is to enable our people to deliver patient outcomes at no cost to the planet. Role Purpose & Strategic Impact:

As a member of the Group SHE team, you will design & conduct the implementation of Global Programs to deliver our SHE strategy, long term outcomes and priorities.

Group SHE is an expert and people-focussed organization that delivers value across all of Roche. The Audit Program Enabler is a critical and strategic role within the SHE Intelligence Chapter, tasked with the development and execution of a world-class global audit program focused on Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SHE) assurance. The role demands an experienced professional who can leverage their auditing expertise to shape and guide Roche's SHE priorities. As a leader in the audit domain, the Audit Program Enabler will drive innovation and excellence in audit practices across the organization.

Operating within Roche's matrix framework, the Group SHE Auditor will collaborate with various Chapters for functional expertise and Networks for program delivery, ensuring that audit initiatives are strategically aligned and effectively executed. This role requires leadership capabilities to inspire teams, foster a culture of continuous improvement, influence stakeholders and deliver the audit program with excellence. Its scope reaches beyond stakeholders in SHE and is expected to collaborate with and influence functions  across the business and value chain. The successful candidate will be a recognized expert in the audit field, representing Roche in international forums and advocating for best practices in SHE auditing.

Executes work with a high degree of empowerment and ownership with a high degree of autonomy. Ongoing personal and professional development as well as continuous learning is critical to success. This position reports to the Chapter Lead for SHE Intelligence.

The Opportunity: 

  • Strategic Leadership and Audit Program Development: Continuously improve and implement global audit programs aligned with Roche's SHE strategy. Contribute to scalable, data-driven, and risk-based audit frameworks that integrate advanced technologies. Embed SHE audit capabilities as a core functional and SHE network competency.

  • Audit Execution and Continuous Improvement: Give input into the creation of the annual SHE audit plan. Conduct and lead comprehensive SHE audits globally, ensuring adherence to legal and organizational standards. Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in auditing practices, implementing innovative solutions to enhance processes.

  • Matrix Collaboration and Team Leadership: Collaborate effectively within the matrix structure, engaging various Chapters and Networks/Squads to drive audit initiatives. Lead and mentor diverse audit teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Note: This is not a formal line management role but requires strong leadership and influence.

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Global Representation: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including Group SHE Business Partners and global SHE communities. Represent Roche in international forums, shaping and advocating Roche's position on SHE audit matters.

Who you are:

  • Education and Experience: Certified ISO lead auditor. At least a Master’s degree in business administration, science, engineering, or a related relevant field. Extensive experience in auditing, with a strong preference for expertise in SHE. Proven track record of acting as a lead auditor.

  • Skills and Competencies: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a matrixed, international environment. Familiarity with AI and data analytics tools in auditing processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (a second language, in particular Chinese or Spanish is an advantage). Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Sensitivity to cultural differences and experience in diverse, multicultural settings.

  • Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel up to 25 to 40% of the time to various Roche sites globally.
