šŸ“London, Cardiff or Remote | šŸ’° up to Ā£44,600 + share options + Benefits

We're looking for a Group Risk Reporting & Framework Analyst to join Monzo!

This is a brilliant chance to get involved in some key areas: risk reporting, risk culture, and our risk frameworks. You'll be right at the heart of how Monzo develops these in a new, global group structure.

You'll report to the Head of Group Risk Reporting and Risk Culture (part of Group Risk). Your main focus will be managing the day-to-day administration and data for our risk reports. This means looking after data connections, making sure the right data (like risk appetite metrics, issues, actions, and controls) gets into the report, fixing any connection issues, and working with people across Monzo to get the report finished and ready for risk governance on time.

You'll also be key in supporting our risk frameworks and processes. This involves setting up the systems, guidelines, and ways of working that help Monzo manage risk effectively. Think improving our risk culture dashboards, helping deliver training, or managing an AI policy database.

This is a hybrid role. You’ll need to be sharp with Google Sheets and data formulas, but you'll also be designing and rolling out clear, accessible risk management processes for the whole business. Ultimately, your work will be vital in enabling effective risk execution across Monzo.

šŸ”‘ What you’ll be working on:

You will be responsible for supporting the implementation and ongoing operation of Monzo’s risk reporting and framework processes. As the role matures, your responsibilities will continue to grow, but will include:

  • Produce monthly risk reports, ensuring they meet Group requirements.
  • Be the primary point of contact for data related or technical risk reporting queries across Monzo.
  • Handle core risk reporting admin, such as user access, workflow maintenance, and configuration.
  • Own data quality in risk reports, making sure risk data and formulas are accurate, consistent, and meaningful. You’ll manage issue resolution and enhancement requests.
  • Look for opportunities to streamline processes, automate tasks, and improve the usability of our risk reporting.
  • Develop and maintain risk Looker dashboards (we use this to visualise data from our GRC tool).
  • Create and maintain user-facing documentation, training, and process guidance.

Frameworks

  • Support the operation of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), including preparing materials for Group Executive and Board risk reporting, and handling data requests from our Subsidiaries.
  • Help drive the Group Risk Culture agenda.
  • Tackle other ad-hoc tasks to support the Group Risk team on frameworks, systems, and projects.

🤩 We’d love to hear from you if you…

  • Experienced in risk reporting and risk data management. You know what 'good' looks like and you’re confident in bringing that expertise to Monzo.
  • Detail-oriented and great with G Suite (especially Sheets, Docs, Slides) for building simple, effective solutions.
  • A clear written and verbal communicator who can influence and manage stakeholders at all levels, working effectively across the three lines of defence and always keeping to Monzo's tone of voice.
  • A strategic thinker. You can balance immediate tasks with long-term goals to prioritise effectively.
  • A role model for our values and behaviours.
  • Knowledge of App Script and/or SQL is desirable but not essential

Not ticking every box? That’s totally okay! Studies show that women and people of colour might hesitate to apply unless they meet every single requirement. At Monzo, we’re dedicated to creating a diverse and welcoming team. If you’re passionate about this role and keen to learn and grow with us, we encourage you to apply— even if you don’t have everything that's listed just yet. Drop us your application, we’d love to hear from you!
