Brief Overview of Position
The Middle Market segment services clients with revenue from $25-300 million. The Middle Market Group Manager reports directly to the Head of Commercial Banking and is responsible for leading and managing a group of approximately 30 colleagues. This role is accountable to define and drive strategies within the (insert) market to provide clients with financial insight and expertise on solutions, services, and products ideal for their unique needs. Driving full wallet solutions that incorporates our product capabilities including Credit, Treasury and the Investment Bank are paramount.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategy to improve market share for Dallas Middle Market and meet or exceed performance goals.
Meet with and maintain relationships with top C&I clients; actively engage and provide guidance to team throughout deal lifecycle through closure.
Deliver the whole bank through effective partner engagement within Texas Capital; drive client referrals to the appropriate segment/LOB for maximum client effectiveness and development.
Maintain strong external network and market presence through active community leadership and relationship development.
Drive use of Salesforce within team and ensure data integrity; inspects all activity and maintains/updates pipeline on real time basis.
Effectively manage resources and expenses to ensure a healthy P&L statement; reviews and monitors financial reports and reports on notable variances; previews and ensures high quality Balance Sheet Committee submissions by team.
Guides team on credit approval/management process.
Establishes and manages business routines with direct reports, teams, and business partners to ensure execution against market goals.
Effectively source, recruit, develop, coach, recognize, manage, and retain talent; effectively utilize and grow junior talent.
Operate with a sense of urgency balanced with adherence to the firm’s risk appetite; Escalate known Risks/Issues.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
Minimum 15 years in financial services or banking
Comprehensive industry and market knowledge with expertise in Commercial Banking
Formal Credit training or equivalent work experience required.
Prior management experience required.
Demonstrated experience cross selling a broad suite of products and services (Commercial Banking, Investment Banking, Treasury, Wealth, etc.)
Ability to assess environment and modify or develop strategic measures to counter or optimize and enhance the business model.
Advanced ability to self-direct and manage competing priorities.
Must be a change champion with the ability to lead in a fast-paced, dynamic, collaborative, and transformative environment
Strong ability to recruit and retain talent
