We are seeking an experienced Group Manager to lead group air, hotel and ground operations within a corporate travel environment. This is a leadership-focused role requiring approximately 70% management and operational oversight and 30% sales and commercial engagement. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in group contracting, corporate travel agreements, and revenue strategy, with the ability to maximize ROI through smart negotiations and creative problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

Management & Operations (70%)

  • Oversee end-to-end group bookings, including sourcing, contracting, ticketing, and reporting.
  • Lead, coach, and support a team of agents while ensuring accountability, quality standards, and SLA performance.
  • Manage group agreements, contracts, deadlines, manifests, and reporting accuracy.
  • Strengthen processes, automation, and mid-office workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex negotiations and operational challenges.
  • Partner cross-functionally with sales, finance, and client services teams to align strategy and execution.

Sales & Commercial Strategy (30%)

  • Negotiate competitive airline agreements, discount programs, and fee structures that maximize ROI.
  • Support pricing strategies and align group solutions with client travel program goals.
  • Identify revenue opportunities and develop creative solutions to drive growth.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients and influence adoption of standardized processes that enhance performance and service delivery.
  • Lead by example by actively sending options, booking, and ticketing group air and hotel when needed to support the team and maintain client confidence.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as required to support evolving business needs and organizational priorities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ corporate travel experience with strong group air, hotel and ground transportation expertise.
  • Proven success in vendor negotiations and contract management.
  • Advanced Sabre proficiency required.
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability, and leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated, solutions-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

 

We provide a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach.  For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of $50,000 - $70,000 with the opportunity to participate in commission program tied to achievable targets and individual performance.  The expected compensation range for this position is: $60,000 to $80,000.

The actual compensation may vary depending on local market conditions, and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
