Job Description
The role is responsible for partnering with the Business Intelligence & Analytics (BIA) group within Columbia Threadneedle Investments, an Ameriprise Financial company. The role will assist in driving data driven insights, partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders, and managing a growing team. This role will play a critical role in aligning analytics delivery with business priorities. The ideal candidate brings hands on experience partnering with technology and development teams to deliver scalable analytics and data solutions, strong stakeholder management experience and comfort working across time zones.Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end delivery of recurring and ad hoc reports, including data pulls, validation, analysis, and timely distribution to enable business decision-making
Work closely with technology and development teams throughout the full delivery lifecycle, including requirements gathering and documentation, UAT and Jira-based intake, prioritization, and delivery processes
Responsible for managing projects from conception to deployment with both internal business partners and outside vendors
Communicate complex data and technical concepts in a clear and actionable way
Develop and deliver clear, concise presentations for leadership and stakeholder audiences
Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across business, analytics, and technology functions
Provide local team leadership by managing, mentoring, and developing BIA team members, while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture aligned with organizational goals
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferably in the field of Engineering, Statistics, Analytics or other related technical disciplines
7-10 years of experience working in data analytics or relevant field
Strong experience with reporting and data visualization tools, including Tableau, with the ability to review, guide, and set standards for dashboard and report development
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into insights
Comfortable working in technically complex environments and partnering with technology and development teams
Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, analysis, and the ability to use Excel for both ad hoc analysis and structured reporting
Hands‑on experience with Salesforce CRM, Tableau, Jira and Confluence
Previous people‑management experience with demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree with a focus in Statistics, Engineering, Analytics.
Advanced knowledge of financial services industry (asset management specifically) and associated concepts
Experience working with enterprise data lakes and cloud data platforms (e.g., Amazon Redshift), including the ability to write and review SQL queries to support reporting, analytics, and data validation
