OverviewWorks under the supervision of Group Exercise Manager to provide members with a diverse program of classes in a friendly, motivating, and professional manner. Classes are conducted in a safe environment and the instructor maintains supervision of members throughout class.
What you will do- Instructor is genuinely friendly and concerned for the members well-being. He/she interacts positively with at least 3 members before, during or after class and uses their name when appropriate.
- Instructor teaches safe and effective classes formatted to the class description. He/she is able to teach 32-count combinations staying on beat and phrase of the music. The instructor refrains from using contraindicated movements and shows modifications throughout the class. Instructor is prepared to teach and maintains a level of fitness appropriate to teach assigned classes.
- Instructor maintains current CPR certification and is knowledgeable about emergency response chain. CBL's are complete. Instructor maintains Riverside or national group exercise certification.
- Instructor attends bi-monthly group exercise staff meetings.
- Instructor is able to handle customer relation issues in a professional manner while not getting personally involved. The instructor relays all information to manager or MOD and completes appropriate documentation.
QualificationsEducation- , High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience- Physical education or fitness training (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications- Aerobics & Fitness Association of America - The Athletics and Fitness Association of America (Required)
- Certified Auto External Defibrillator (AED) - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required)
- Primary Group Exercise - FiTOUR (Preferred)
