We are looking for a Direct Procurement Buyer to join our Direct Procurement ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) team. This role will play a key part in defining and executing sourcing strategies for direct procurement categories, working in close collaboration with Engineering, Product Management, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
You will collaborate and influence business leaders and stakeholders at a global level, supporting teams across several countries and our HQ offices in Geneva, Sweden, and Spain.
The role will involve the creation and execution of a Procurement Plan to maximize savings, leading end-to-end tenders (from drafting specifications to award and contract signature), influencing stakeholders to define and standardize requirements, while ensuring compliance with Procurement processes and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage strategic relationships with ODM partners and key suppliers
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept through industrialization up to Mass Production, ensuring cost targets are met
Contribute to the Group Procurement Plan, maximizing savings across multiple countries
Lead tenders (RFPs / RFQs) for strategic products developed and manufactured for Verisure’s global markets, including:
Requirements gathering
Preparation, analysis, and assessment
Recommendations, awarding, contracting
Negotiation with internal stakeholders and suppliers
Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product Management, PMO, Quality, and Operations
Draft contracts and negotiate agreements with suppliers in coordination with Legal and business teams
Ensure compliance with Direct Procurement processes and policies
Proactively identify project risks and issues, implement solutions, and escalate when required
Measure and manage supplier performance through KPIs and supplier audits
Identify risks and monitor mitigation actions and processes
Prepare analytical reports, spend analysis, and presentations
Act as a key communication link between business teams and suppliers
Availability to travel as required
Requirements & Qualifications
University degree in Engineering, Electronics, Business Administration, or a related field
Previous experience in direct procurement, sourcing, or supply chain, preferably in electronics or manufacturing environments
Experience with ODM, EMS, or electronic component suppliers is a strong plus
Basic to intermediate experience in contract negotiation and supplier management
Project management mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle) and eProcurement tools is desirable
Fluent English and Spanish, with the ability to lead business conversations and influence stakeholders at all levels
Other languages are a plus

Location & Reporting
The role is based in Madrid and reports to the ODM Team Leader within the Direct Procurement organization. The position requires occasional travel to suppliers, manufacturing sites, and company offices.
