CHICAGOLAND SPEEDWAY

Chicagoland Speedway is a 1.5-mile oval located in Joliet, Ill., approximately 30 miles south of downtown Chicago on Old Historic Route 66. On July 3-5, 2026, NASCAR will make its much-anticipated return to Chicagoland Speedway for three days of racing action.

 

Grounds Maintenance Event Staff

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintain landscaped areas as required to achieve desired results in the overall appearance of the facility.
  • Regular tasks include mowing, edging and weeding.
  • Clean grounds, including but not limited to removal of trash and litter.
  • Operate equipment of all types as directed and maintain equipment necessary to meet the goals and objectives of facility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Other Skills, Abilities and/or Qualifications:

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Successfully pass a driving record check
  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods of time

The compensation range for this position is:

$16.00-$18.00
