What you'll get to do:
Sets up and operates a variety of precision grinding machines to perform quantity production grinding to close tolerances where grinding methods and sequences are predetermined and established tooling provided. Performs operations such as grinding compound angles, internal and external spherical radii, threads, contours, and long exact tapers on products, parts, and assemblies or tools. Selects, mounts, and aligns various specialized attachments and standard tooling; interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; dresses, trues, and shapes grinding wheels; uses a variety of precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations; and measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for grinding. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Typically requires formal training or equivalent experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $43,400.00 - $72,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
